Daily Routines for the Mind, Body and Soul

Below are some suggested daily routines and books I have read. I encourage you to take part in bettering your mental approach to the game, by implementing these readings and routines into your mental growth. Should you have any suggestive methods or books, please feel free to chime in on my Q&A or Message board Section of the site. –JJ

Focus

No matter how well my students understand their swing and the dedicated work it takes to keep their short game in prime shape, there is always an obligation to heighten their mental approach to the game. Seeing is Believing!  When a belief system is engraved into the psyche, the mind can frame certain shot shapes and visualize putts falling into the cup. There are many ways of keeping your mind healthy from meditation, yoga and inspirational readings that will keep your mind right in your mental approach. – JJ

Yoga /Tai Chi

30/60 Minutes every other day of various Stretching and Breathing can bring a top to bottom balance of Body, Mind and Soul. Look for a local class that teaches each form and commit yourself to going 2 to 3 times a week. Also, some routines and methods can be found online. Search to see what type of method suits you best and commit to your routine daily/weekly –JJ

Meditation

There are many Forms of meditation

  • Breathing
  • Silent
  • Mantra
  • Focused
  • Mindful
  • Spiritual

As you awake each day or before heading out to the first tee, find 10 to 15 minutes of time to dedicate in bettering your mind. There is no doubt that many of my students who meditate, find a level of happiness, balance, peace, calmness and purpose in their daily activity.

All players in the realm of golf (especially professionals) perform their best when the mind is at peace and stress free – JJ

Clarity

To gain clarity on your vision and find a laser like focus you must set goals. Whether in Golf or Business, Goal Setting institutes a purpose in allowing you to better your path. I always encourage my students to have a specific Goal they want to reach. Daily, Weekly or Yearly your goals are a representation of your inner desires; desires which motivate you in life – JJ
